Josh St. Hill: A Live Performance and Conversation with A.D. Carson

Event Date:
Friday, January 26, 2018 - 5:00pm to 6:00pm

The Making Noise Series and University Library present “Josh St. Hill: A Live Performance and in Conversation with A.D. Carson” in the University of Virginia Music Library at 5 p.m. on January 26th. A reception will follow at 6 p.m.

Join us for a conversation with and performance by Josh St. Hill, Monticello High School student and artist. St. Hill wrote the award-winning “A King’s Story,” which tells the story of a black teen murdered by the police.  St. Hill was the lead actor and punctuated the story with powerful raps. We are excited to have St. Hill make noise with his consciousness-raising hip-hop in this event moderated by UVA Assistant Professor of Hip-Hop, A.D. Carson.

Presented by the University Libraries and the Making Noise Series.
